Ruthie Watt aka Papercut Punk is back with a new folk-art flock for a wintery workshop at Leith Makers. In this two hour workshop you will learn the deceptively simple art of papercutting and make a Polish Wycinanki style piece to take home. Associated with the region of Kurpie, the art is typically a symmetrical design, cut from a single piece of paper, folded a single time, and features spruce trees and birds as the most popular motifs.
No drawing skills necessary as there will be adaptable templates to work from but you will be fully encouraged to express yourself through the magic of paper if you wish!
In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the basics of papercutting and then have the chance to let your imagination run riot.
