Make your own sea glass ring in sterling silver. Suitable for complete beginners or those who have done one of my other beginner level classes, this short course in my Edinburgh workshop will show you all the steps to make your own beautiful, unique sea glass ring.
Bring along your own sea glass (I will check and let you know if its suitable to use) or choose a piece from my collection. I will provide more information on what might be suitable in the joining instructions after you book the class. Please see the images I have included to see what is achievable in the class.
During the class I will cover:
- identifying your ring size
- shaping and forming a ring
- sawing
- soldering
- making a bezel setting for your sea glass
- setting the sea glass into the bezel
- filing and sanding for a beautiful finish
- annealing
- adding texture
- polishing
The price includes the sterling silver required to make the silver ring and bezel setting, plus sea glass should you require it.
Participants must be 16 or over and under 18 accompanied by an adult. Each workshop has a maximum of 4 people, you can book as an individual or a group. You will leave the class with your own handmade sterling silver sea glass ring.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
