About Red Bean Poetry Takeover
Red Bean Poetry take over the Old Lab to platform four incredibly talented, and very different, poets, all with connection to Scotland. Tim Tim Cheng, Anna Cheung, Lady Red Ego and Cynthia Miller will all read from their work before engaging in a lively discussion around craft, identity and Scotland, chaired by Glasgow-based poet and performer Sean Wai Keung.
Red Bean Poetry shines a light on the work of East Asian diaspora poetry throughout the UK and beyond. It sprouted from the online Poetics of Home Festival in 2021 and aims to showcase established writers in conversation, as well as inspire new talent.
