Lino Cut Printing Workshop

Join Anupa (an experienced tutor and artist who teaches at Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Printmakers) for this half day workshop in which participants will explore different ways of mark making on easy-cut or traditional lino with the help of gouges to carve your blocks.
You will be working with A5 blocks and will be shown a simple registration method. You will learn how to use the lino cutting gouges, transfer images onto blocks, and handprint using barens or spoons on different coloured paper. Bring a sketch or a simple digital printout (max size A5) or use one of our many resource prints.
All materials and refreshments morning and afternoon are provided and customers are welcome to bring a packed lunch for the short lunch break. Alternatively there are excellent local shops and cafes close by.
