WINNER – Pick of the Week – 2024 Adelaide Fringe Festival
“Hilarious, moving, provocative … extraordinary” ★★★★ – The List
“Pure fringe … unique, intellectually spiky … definitely silly!” – Disrupting Stages
Welcome to The Ceremony. Thank you. You’re welcome.
Playfully exploring ritual and tradition in the modern world, The Ceremony is experimental and interactive – part sermon, part group therapy, part comedy show. Not a cult.
Crafted afresh from audience responses, the show changes every single time it’s performed. We rummage through our collective pasts/presents/futures/other to see what kind of ceremony emerges. Or is that the ceremony? Who are we? What are we doing? Does this mean anything? What does meaning mean? Hmm.
The Ceremony is a one-of-a-kind theatrical metaphysical nonsense - the late-night deep and meaningless you didn't know you needed. Or maybe you did. The choice is entirely so as to and yours.
Come in. Take a seat. Contemplate your life. Contemplate my life. Join me. And let The Ceremony begin…
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
