La Belle Angèle, the venue originally formed in the early nineties and which for over a decade stood at the forefront of underground art, music and clubbing culture, was famously destroyed in the Cowgate fire on December 8, 2002. 12 years later the institution that once played host to live performances by the likes of Oasis, Radiohead and The Libertines, not to mention being home to ground-breaking club nights such as Manga and Ultragroove was finally rebuilt and La Belle Angèle has returned.
Constructed on the very same site off Hasties Close and built from the ground up with a major focus on live music with cutting edge sound quality and visual capabilities, La Belle Angèle has returned to regain its place among Edinburgh’s unrivalled Cowgate venues and once again play host to corporate events, exhibitions, live performances and the best clubnights Scotland’s capital has to offer.
