About Portraits that Pop! Workshop - Paintbox School of Art

Taking inspiration from the Pop Art Portraiture of Warhol, this two-day workshop will begin on the first day, drawing from the figure with a model in the studio. We will consider fine, form and composition, making a series of research drawings to work from.

On the second day, we will push the possibilities of our figure and portrait drawings in order to create striking, high key colour paintings that pop! Using acrylic paint, ink and collage, these pieces will capture likeness while also pushing each person's individual expressive language.
