Keeping fit and healthy has always been a priority for me. Yoga is a great way to build strength and focus the mind. The breathing techniques and positions I learned in class contributed hugely to how positive my second labour was and I will be forever grateful for that. Postnatally, I became fascinated with women’s health, pelvic health and recovery from pregnancy and childbirth. I have a strong desire to help other women like me calm the mind and build up strength and flexibility – whilst having fun! Yoga is so useful at all stages of life and the women’s yoga classes we offer are suitable for all levels, even if you’ve never tried yoga before. YogaBellies for Pregnancy
Nurturing, flowing yoga classes to help you build strength, bond with your baby and prepare for your birth. We cover a different topic each week related to pregnancy, birth or beyond, giving you the chance to build your support network, connecting with other local mums. I teach breathing techniques to help you relax and prepare for labour and birth, release tension and reduce any anxiety you may be feeling. You will learn yoga postures safe for pregnancy and I always give modifications so you can adjust your practice to how you feel that week. We always end with a beautiful, calming, guided relaxation to aid sleep and leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Flowing and strengthening yoga classes focusing on connecting your breath to movement, helping to quiet and focus the mind. You will learn breathing techniques to help relax you and ease life's stresses. We will end with a guided relaxation for the body and mind to leave you feeling refreshed and energised. These classes are suitable for beginners but with more advanced modifications to take if you choose, helping you tailor your yoga practice to you
Parent & Baby Yoga
These classes are a perfect blend of yoga for you and yoga stretches with rhymes and songs for baby! We will focus on building strength and stamina safely, with adaptations to suit your body. I will also show you how to adapt your yoga practice with baby. I will guide you through the haze of exhaustion, as we practice breathing techniques and relaxation to help depleted energy levels. We do yoga with babies to encourage their bodies to grow and develop, creating a fun and beautiful bonding experience for you and baby. This class is very baby led so please don’t worry if you baby is crying, feeding or needs changed. Suitable for any level, even if you've never tried yoga before, from 6 weeks after a natural delivery and 8-10 weeks after a c-section. Babies from 6 weeks until they are on the move!
