10 Week Block / Thursdays 15th Jan - 26th Mar 2026 (No class 19th Feb)
Join us for 10 weeks of learning a variety of accessible printmaking methods plus sessions devoted to self practice in order to embed skills and work on personal projects. There will also be a focus on finding out what you need to set yourself up at home, enabling you to take things onwards in your own time.
The course will introduce you to a diverse range of printmaking methods and possibilities – over the first half of the course we will look at different ways with monotype from trace to painterly, etching and printing with recycled materials and also collagraph printmaking. There will be a range of projects and subject matters to respond to as we work through different methods and approaches.
There will then be 5 weeks of supported self-practice – a brilliant way for you to embed and develop the skills and also explore your own ideas in print. During this period there will be regular talks/discussions and demonstrations of how you might take things further including combining printmaking methods and exploring colour.
An experimental and playful approach will be encouraged and there will be a focus on recycled materials, non-toxic inks and a DIY approach that will empower you to make these processes your own!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
