Winding Walk - A town and nature appreciation walk hosted by Barnton Bunker, Scotland's largest nuclear bunker!
Winding Walk takes you through the beautiful forests of Corstorphine Hill and West Edinburgh, on a poetic journey you and your family can enjoy together at your own pace! It's not a race, but you can run if you so choose!
Get your stamp card at check-in and collect stamps at each of the 5 checkpoints along the way! At each stop, there will be live poetry readings on the subjects of nature and wildlife- from the beloved collections of Robert Frost, Emily Dickenson, and others!
Walkers should expect the 6.5 mile (10.4 km) route to take around 2.5 hours to complete, and the 8 mile (12.8 km) route to take around 3 hours to complete.
The event will end at 6pm.
All proceeds will benefit our charity organization, restoration efforts, and endeavors to transform the bunker into a haven for the Arts; Music, Theater, Immersive Experiences, Nature and History Education, and inspiring Cultural Events for all of Edinburgh to enjoy!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
