The world has ended in a nuclear apocalypse... but maybe a little bit of festive cheer will make things better! Join the International Ghost Society for a Christmas party like no other in a real, restored nuclear bunker on the edge of Edinburgh.
You can expect a festive open mic, encounters with a selection of eccentric bunker-dwelling characters, post-apocalyptic snacks, a junkyard decoration-making workshop, and a daring torchlit adventure into the depths of the bunker.
This is an immersive event consisting of an open mic, an underground bunker tour, and some festive mingling. You can Bring-Your-Own-Bottle, or enjoy complimentary soft drinks and post-apocalyptic snacks. You are VERY welcome (encouraged, even) to dress in your finest post-apocalyptic outfit.
The venue, Barnton Bunker, is a real Cold War era nuclear bunker which extends three floors down into the earth. You'll have the opportunity to see some of its most interesting features throughout the evening, including the old RAF control room and a subterranean recording studio.
