What’s it really like for you to be here?
In today’s world, life moves quickly. Between the pressures of work, study, paying the bills and showing up as the world wants us to be, it can often feel like there isn’t the time or space to tune in to what’s really going on inside ourselves, and in our connections with other people.
Being Here combines somatics, mindfulness, embodied creative expression, relational practice, and an atmosphere of radical non-judgement to create a space where people can pay attention to and express their moment-by-moment experience of being in a supportive, co-regulating environment.
Sessions can be fun, playful, edgy, poignant, and most of all deeply connecting to self and others.
Sessions follow the energy and impulse of the group that gathers, and so no two are alike. However, they generally include: activities to strengthen and engage inner awareness; creative/expressive activities in sound and movement; nervous system regulation; connecting with emotion; relational practice and attunement; and group sharing.
It is an open group and anyone can join. No prior experience is required, but it is helpful if participants have some experience of embodied and/or mindfulness practice. All participants are asked to follow group agreements (shared in session).
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
