Our current exhibition presents the work of 4 printmakers inspired by wildlife and working with different printmaking techniques: Carry Akroyd, Robert Greenhalf, Kittie Jones and Jenny McCabe.
The result is a celebration of nature as well as an insight into printmaking as an artform.
Carry Akroyd takes her inspiration from the Fens where wildlife exists on the fringes of agriculture. Her screenprints take in all the aspects of these landscapes: the wildlife as well as the human activities that shape them.
Robert Greenhalf's woodcuts are inspired by special places near him in Rye, and they capture the precious nature of these sites.
Kittie Jones creates energetic screenprints and monoprints inspired by the frenetic activity of seabird colonies along the coasts of Scotland.
Jenny McCabe's work combines etching and collagraph to create striking monochrome images of birds encountered on birding walks around Lancaster.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
