Join us for a slow stitching workshop inspired by the Japanese Boro tradition of repeatedly mending fabrics. This workshop, run by an experienced teacher and textile enthusiast Sue Crawley of Sunshine Designs Dollar, will involve an introduction to Boro, a demonstration of stitches, and guidance on how to create your own Boro-inspired textile art.
This is a fabulous opportunity for both beginners and more experienced stitchers to explore slow stitching and make your own piece of textile art using the Boro technique. No prior experience is required.
All materials (fabrics, threads, tools) will be provided. At the end of the workshop, you'll get to take home your own hand-stitched Boro textile creation.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
