Learn the fundamentals of embroidery in this workshop led by Amy Lowson.
Using a kit created by Amy, you will first learn a number of basic stitches and create your own hand-embroidered (bee and mushroom) pendants.
Everyone in the class will be working on the same design and Amy will be on hand to take you through each stage. All materials will be provided and you will have 2 new pendants (plus chain) to take home with you.
The afternoon workshop will cover -
- learning back stitch, satin stitch, split stitch, French knots.
- learning the tools needed for embroidery
- discussing pattern transfer
- sewing your pattern
- how to set your embroidery in the pendants
Suitable for beginners and 12+ if children aged 12 - 16 accompanied by an adult.
Soft drink and nibbles will be provided.
