About Poetry Jam with Leyla Josephine and band
Interested to explore your poetry in conversation with music? Want to try out improvising lyrically with a band? Here's your chance. Part open mic, part jam session, this unique event gives you the opportunity to do just that.
Bring a poem you want to share, liaise with the band about mood, rhythm and tempo, and then just give it a go. Unpolished and mistake-riddled attempts are as welcome as polished performances. Our host, performance poet Leyla Josephine, will guide us through the night and perform her own work. All experience levels welcome. Come to listen or perform.
