UPDATE for all car boot sale buyers and sellers. As you may be aware the government guidelines have allowed outdoor markets to reopen as part of the phased reopening (Phase 2 outdoor markets).
However there will be strict rules and guidelines which we intend to follow without exception.
Safety of everybody is of paramount importance to us. Anyone who chooses to not follow our strict rules will be asked to leave immediately and may lose the right to attend the car boot sale indefinitely.
We don’t foresee this happening as we do have loyal customers who we trust will understand the complicated and important situation that we are faced with.
If for any reason we are unable to open and things change, we aim to give at least two days notice. Please understand that we are doing our best to open but it has to be without question, safely.
Everyone please wear face masks and bring hand sanitiser with you. We would recommend that you all wear gloves when handling money.
We will also be supplying hand sanitiser at the front entrance to the boot sale and our staff will be actively encouraging customers to use it on entry and exit.
We are limiting the numbers of customers so please be patient if you are asked to wait, this is important for the safety of all.
Sellers will be given extra space for their cars and ground markings will now be implemented. Wherever possible we will have signage and helpful directions.
Due to the fact that we are spacing out sellers this is going to result in less spaces being available overall. We will not make allowances for more sellers if it affects our 2m safe distancing.
We will also unfortunately be restricting the amount of vans, due to this we would ask that anyone who normally brings a van to the car boot sale to sell, please bring a car instead or be aware that we are limited in the amount we can accept. This will be one row and it will be first come first served.
Revised opening times are: 7am-12noon for sellers, both Saturday and Sunday.
Revised pitch fees are: £14 per car and £22 per van
Buyer will be allowed entry from 7.30am.
Please note we will only offer the car boot sale if safe to do so and the government guidelines allow it. There will be a strict policy in place for the weeks ahead to ensure minimum risk to ALL.
