Keela, the Scottish outdoor clothing brand, and Mountaineering Scotland, the representative organisation for hill walkers and climbers in Scotland, have teamed up to launch ‘Within You’, a new campaign that champions confidence, freedom, and connection in the outdoors.
Launching on World Mental Health Day (10 October 2025), the three-month campaign combines real-life experiences, expert advice, and ambassador-led content to inspire people to embrace the outdoors and reconnect with nature during the colder months. Filmed and photographed in the Pentland Hills, it captures the raw beauty of Scotland’s landscapes alongside the wellbeing benefits of time spent outside.
Headlining the campaign are two female ambassadors: Mountain Leader and Keela ambassador Anna Danby, and Mountaineering Scotland Mountain Safety Adviser, freelance Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader, Kirsty Pallas. Their expertise and lived experience bring authenticity and depth to the story. Both ambassadors embody the campaigns’ core message - that the outdoors belongs to everyone, and with the right preparation, skills, and mindset, every journey can be approached with confidence.
‘Within You’ will run across digital platforms, social media, and community channels until the end of 2025. The campaign will highlight opportunities to get involved through Keela’s outdoor community and Mountaineering Scotland’s network, helping more people feel supported, connected, and ready to explore the outdoors this season.
Sam Fernando, Sales Director for Keela, said: “We’re delighted to be launching the ‘Within You’ campaign in collaboration with the team at Mountaineering Scotland. The UK is home to some of the most inspiring landscapes in the world, from rugged mountains and rolling hills to peaceful coastlines and national parks. With ‘Within You’, we want to encourage more people to explore these places with confidence, knowing they have the skills, support, and community to feel safe and empowered.
“We’re very grateful to Anna and Kirsty, our campaign ambassadors, for sharing their voices and experiences to inspire others. Our aim is to make the outdoors accessible to everyone, helping people build confidence, connect with nature, and discover the wellbeing benefits of time spent outside – no matter their experience or background.”
Keela and Mountaineering Scotland share a commitment to making the outdoors accessible, enjoyable, and safe for everyone. Keela brings decades of expertise in designing performance outdoor clothing built to withstand the toughest conditions, while Mountaineering Scotland provides trusted guidance, education, and advocacy for those exploring Scotland’s hills and mountains. Together, they combine practical support with inspiration, encouraging more people to get outside and discover new landscapes.
Helen Gestwicki, Member Services and Communications Manager at Mountaineering Scotland, said: “This campaign is about connection - with nature, with others, and with ourselves. Whether it’s a gentle walk or a mountain summit, every journey outdoors offers the chance to grow, reflect, and feel a sense of belonging. At Mountaineering Scotland, we’re proud to be part of a campaign that highlights the skills and support which enable people to explore safely, and with confidence.”
Throughout the campaign, ‘Within You’ will be further strengthened with insightful articles, top tips, first-hand experiences and exclusive offers for outdoor communities with more details available on keelaoutdoors.com and www.mountaineering.scot.
