With as many as a third of all proposals happening during December, hundreds of couples across the country will be entering the new year with nuptials to plan.
To help budding brides and grooms organise their perfect day, Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel, near Livingston, will be hosting a special festive Wedding Open Day on Sunday 12 January, showcasing its stunning wedding space, opulent suites and picturesque grounds.
As guests tour the facilities, they will be treated to a glass of Prosecco and will be able to sample a selection of canapes, along with having the chance to speak with local wedding suppliers.
Andrew Boe, general manager at Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel, said: “December is one of the most romantic times of the year for proposals, meaning hundreds of couples go into the new year with a wedding to plan. Set in a 16th century country retreat in a secluded spot surrounded by 22 acres of beautiful woodlands, just west of Edinburgh, the luxury four-star hotel is perfect for intimate gatherings and lavish celebrations.
The hidden gem features 73 luxurious bedrooms filled with character, including a unique bedroom in the tower. For a truly unforgettable wedding, celebrate in the grand Houstoun Suite, a ballroom which can host up to 200 guests. The hotel’s expert team of wedding planners will assist you in creating your perfect day from start to finish, helping you to create life-long memories.
Macdonald Houtoun House Hotel will also be hosting wedding fayre on the 16th of February, where couples can talk with all wedding suppliers who can assist with finalising the little extras for your special day.
