Permanently berthed in Edinburgh’s Port of Leith, Fingal is rated as one of the most romantic hotels in the UK and Channel Islands on the prestigious Tripadvisor list of most ‘Dreamy stays that couples love’.
From arrival to departure, Fingal’s dedicated crew will be on hand to ensure that every element of Valentine’s weekend is curated with precision. Bespoke small touches will transform an overnight stay into an unforgettable experience.
For romantic couples, Fingal provides a classic setting with all the glamour and style of a superyacht, but with an air of old-world Art Deco luxury ocean liner elegance inspired by the ship’s rich maritime heritage.
This Valentine’s weekend, guests can select their own favourite memory-evoking scents to fill the cabin; fresh flowers to add a touch of natural beauty; bespoke cocktails crafted to delight; or Champagne under the stars to create an atmosphere of pure enchantment.
Fingal’s Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar has earned its reputation as a world class foodie destination since its re-launch as a luxury hotel in 2019, including two prestigious AA Rosettes for culinary excellence.
Fingal’s Valentine’s weekend tasting menu with paired wines includes Orkney scallops, coconut foam, roasted almonds and vanilla butter; Fingal smoked venison, muscade pumpkin, amaretti, parmesan and black truffle dressing; Loch Fyne Halibut, herb crust, Jerusalem artichoke, variegated kale and sauce chermoula; and roasted Devon duck breast, sweet marinated mooli, broccolini and sauce bigarade. To finish, satisfy your sweet tooth with a pecan and mouneyrac pear tart with a salted caramel foam.
For couples in search of an extraordinary immersive experience, Fingal’s Chef’s Table is staged exclusively in the ship’s former captain’s command room. Chef’s Table is a unique opportunity to engage with the ship’s team of chefs and enjoy a Scottish tasting menu tailored to the season with paired wines selected by Fingal’s Sommelier.
Open to residents and non-residents, Fingal also offers a choice of private dining booths in its award-winning Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar.
Fingal’s 22 luxury cabins are each named after Stevenson lighthouses, inspired by Fingal’s rich maritime heritage. The ship is now the ultimate in luxury accommodation and dining.
The former Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) tender is owned and operated by the award-winning team at The Royal Yacht Britannia, which is located just 10 minutes away.
Fingal is located opposite the Port of Leith tram stop, which offers a direct and quick transport link between Leith, Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh Airport.
Prices start from £400 per cabin, per night, based on two people sharing a cabin on a B&B basis this Valentine’s weekend.
