The Edinburgh International Harp Festival (EIHF) is the UK’s premier harping event: an annual celebration and gathering of musical talents from the global harp community, and The Clarsach Society’s flagship event.
Concerts, courses, workshops, sessions and a ceilidh celebrating all things harp! The Edinburgh International Harp Festival returns for its 42nd year, showcasing an eclectic array of harp talent from across the globe. Each year this long-established and popular annual gathering re-affirms Edinburgh's status as a world-class centre for harping. Renowned musicians will come together to entertain, inspire and educate through a wide variety of concerts, courses, workshops, sessions and more, celebrating the versatility of the harp, within a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Since 1982, the EIHF has taken place annually in early April in Edinburgh, Scotland’s ‘Festival City’. Although 2020 broke the continuity, it didn’t break the Festival, and we went online with the first ever virtual EIHF. Delve into our rich forty-year history below.
