Awarded the Jury Prize and Best Actor Prize in the Un Certain Regard selection at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, as well as 4 César Awards in 2025, Boris Lojkine’s Souleymane’s Story takes us on a very visceral ride through the streets of Paris.
It depicts the harsh reality of delivery cyclist Souleymane (Abou Sangaré), who recently immigrated from Guinea. As he pedals through the streets of Paris at full speed to deliver meals, Souleymane rehearses his story. In two days, he has to go through the official interview to be granted political asylum.
