Through theatrical storytelling, it brings to life the women who managed distilleries, plantations, and factories—facing natural challenges, wars, and market instability—while shaping the development of iconic beverages from sherry and rum to whisky and champagne.
Blending historical research with imagination, the Âtre Collective recreates the voices and stories of these largely forgotten figures, restoring their place in the heritage of the spirits industry. By connecting Scottish whisky and French champagne traditions, SPIRITUEUSES highlights the shared pride, artistry, and resilience of women across borders and centuries.
