Wow; we've just caught breath after our inaugural event and here we are announcing an incredible line up for Flux Gigs 1.2, on 29th October at Home Bar.
It promises to be an extraordinary evening and we've managed to pair two wonderful artists.
All the way from Japan we have Tokyo-based musician, artist and improviser, Ayami Suzuki. She's at Cafe Oto earlier in the week before heading to Edinburgh. Her recent releases for Lontano Series, Healing Sound Propagandist, Ftarri and Cosima Pitz showcase her singular approach to vocal ambient music, often fusing her ethereal vocals with environmental sounds in a way that feels formless, immersive and expansive all at once.
And, opening the evening, we have the truly amazing, Scottish/Turkish experimental vocalist, Bell Lungs. Exploring the messy contradictions and ambiguities of emotions is a key component of her creative process, which takes an electroacoustic approach to live sampling, incorporating spectral tape loops and instruments drawn from her eclectic instrument collection.
Prepare to be amazed!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
