A vibrant evening of spoken word fuelled by food and fierce new writing by young people living in West Lothian.
Our Spoken Word Supper Club is a vibrant evening of spoken word created by Firefly’s young people in collaboration with Leyla Josephine, one of the UK’s most celebrated spoken word artists.
Audiences are invited to enjoy new writing whilst breaking bread. The event directly reflects this year’s festival theme of Comfort & Disturb by creating a space where performers can safely explore difficult truths, while also celebrating resilience, identity, and solidarity.
It comforts those who overlooked, and it challenges stigma in the wider community.
Supported by SMAHF Regional Participatory Arts Fund.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
