The fantastic Ross Bandstand’s festive community programme at Edinburgh’s Christmas opens with its Light Night Concert this weekend on Sunday 23rd November. The Edinburgh’s Christmas team is busy decking the halls – and the stage! – for an afternoon of Christmas magic, featuring an appearance from the Big Man himself, Depute Lord Provost and Edinburgh's own radio DJ, television presenter, stage and television star, Grant Stott.
Local choirs, dancers and community groups take to the stage, while roaming entertainment—from juggling elves to the Snow Queen—brings magic to every corner.
The main showcase features enchanting magical acts, choir singalongs and a special visit from Santa, with a lantern parade and collaborations with Edinburgh’s cultural venues adding extra festive sparkle.
Meet the Snow Queen and Lutrek Elves at the Ross Bandstand from 2pm, and get into the festive spirit with face painting, candy floss and delicious winter warmers from the bar. Then enjoy a spectacular afternoon of music, dance, singalongs and magic before a very special visit from Santa!
