Step into the timeless beauty of St Giles’ Cathedral this festive season, and experience a candlelit Christmas concert like no other — a magical evening of soaring melodies, heartfelt emotion, and seasonal warmth at the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile.
This special performance features two of the most beloved works in the Romantic piano repertoire: Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor and Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2. From the Nordic drama and lyrical charm of Grieg’s concerto to the sweeping passion and soul-stirring beauty of Rachmaninov’s masterpiece, the programme promises an unforgettable journey through some of classical music’s most powerful emotional landscapes.
Brought to life by the acclaimed Piccadilly Sinfonietta and virtuoso pianist Warren Mailley-Smith, this festive concert will resonate with grandeur and intimacy beneath the gothic arches of one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks.
