Step into the timeless grandeur of St Giles’ Cathedral, a breathtaking space in the heart of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, and enjoy a candlelit evening of classical brilliance and lyrical beauty.
This exquisite programme features three iconic violin works, performed by the acclaimed Piccadilly Sinfonietta and leading violinist Victoria Lyon. Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major opens the evening with elegance, charm, and youthful radiance. From Mendelssohn’s magical Scherzo from A Midsummer Night’s Dream—a whirlwind of light-footed fantasy—to the deeply expressive Violin Concerto in E minor, this is music of energy, lyricism, and dazzling virtuosity.
