The Art of Taking Up Space is an exhibition by young people in Edinburgh about youth mental health. To mark a decade of youth mental health support by local charity U-evolve, this exhibition features artwork created and curated by young people in art groups across the city.
“This exhibition has been a labour of love by our young people, and we’re delighted to be showing their work at Out of the Blue! We’ll be open to the public for three days and we’re really looking forward to welcoming the community into the space.” – Susie McIntyre, CEO at U-evolve.
U-evolve has been supporting Edinburgh’s young people since 2015, reaching 200 individuals every year with free services. Based in Leith, U-evolve also works extensively in North Edinburgh and the South East of the City.
