Edinburgh – it’s your moment to Shine!
Shine Night Walk is your chance to light up the streets of Edinburgh, while passing the city’s most famous landmarks. Join us on 27 September for a neon-glowing 10k night-time walk to beat cancer.
Entries are open now for the 10k event, where you can choose to raise money for the cancer type of your choice. This includes prostate cancer, breast cancer, bowel cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, brain tumours, children’s cancers and leukaemia, amongst others.
Your fundraising supports life-saving research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
The event starts at the Scottish National Gallery at 7pm, when we’ll take to the city’s streets in a fun and inspirational parade of light that will help beat cancer one step at a time.
You can also shine a light for those affected by cancer by volunteering on the night. From helping to set up the Shine Night Walk course to guiding participants around the city, there are lots of opportunities to get involved, meet new people and learn new skills.
In the last 50 years, our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK. Help us power more progress with your 10k through our city.
Walk for loved ones. Walk for future generations. Walk with friends old and new to raise vital funds to help drive discoveries.
Step up. Sign up at shinewalk.org
Together we are beating cancer.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
