You'll hear about Mary Somerville, the 18th century "Queen of Science", Elizabeth Whiskeman, an Edinburgh University academic and anti Nazi spy, and the Edinburgh 7, the first female undergraduate medical students at any British University, amongst many others on this two hour experience.
This event will teach you historical facts which other tours of the city simply do not cover.
In the interests of making history much more accessible, this tour is offered on a Pay What You Think It's Worth model. Guests are asked to donate at the end based on their enjoyment of the tour.
