Join us for an intimate filmmakers circle led by Ahmad Saleh around memory, documentation of the intangible layers of life, and how to capture past stories and experiences in film.
This event precedes the live performance ‘Inside the TV Box, I Found the True Story of the People of Palestine’ as part of Falastin Film Festival, a volunteer-run, not-for-profit collective of Palestinians and allies dedicated to sharing Palestinian stories and voices with Scottish audiences through the power of cinema and art.
This intimate, screen-free, and participatory event is open to Scotland-based documentary and non-fiction moving image filmmakers, cinematographers, writers and producers. It provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive space designed to open a discussion about the journey from observer to participant, from reality to magical realism and the process of interweaving personal stories with others’ memories into film and performance.
HOW TO APPLY
This session is part of our Filmmakers Circle, an intimate and collaborative space designed for industry professionals and peers to demystify documentary filmmaking by nurturing a holistic understanding of the craft and engaging in ongoing topical dialogues.
