Erik Palmberg Quartet has gained a lot international attention recent years and the group is one of the most interesting Scandinavian jazz acts today. Their sound is lyrical and melodic contemporary jazz, steeped in tradition.
The new album Faces has received a lot of great reviews from all over Europe, including the UK, and this is the first UK tour for the quartet.
Erik’s last album In Between (Prophone 2021) also got widespread praise and won the readers poll for best jazz album in Sweden’s biggest jazz magazine (and the world’s oldest) Orkesterjournalen.
The Quartet is made up of:
Erik Palmberg, trumpet, flugelhorn
Anton Dromberg, piano
Niklas Wennström, double bass
Sebastian Voegler, drums.
