Enigmatic singer-songwriter Cassie Ramone returns with her new album, SWEETHEART: a haunting, dynamic, and uniquely genre-defying record. Recorded and produced by long-term collaborator Dylan White in Richmond, VA, during the Winter of 2023-2024, the album embodies Cassie’s vivid lyrics and musical versatility. The duo produced the album in its entirety, with the exception of Mac Demarco, featured on “The Only Way I Know How.”
As the frontwoman of the pioneering band Vivian Girls, she inspired many aspiring musicians and left a significant and long-lasting impact on the music world. In 2009, she also formed the indie band The Babies with Kevin Morby. Her steadfast dedication to music and extensive touring solidified her position in the music industry.
In 2014, Cassie released her solo debut album The Time Has Come, is a psychedelic folk album she recorded and produced. The album, with Ariel Pink on bass, showcases her unique and introspective lyrics and haunting melodies. She then released Christmas in Reno in 2015, featuring a melancholy take on ten definitive Christmas songs.
SWEETHEART was initially released on YouTube as a full-length music video on June 28th, 2024. Cassie’s creativity, versatility, and unwavering dedication have served as a beacon of inspiration for musicians and listeners alike. With SWEETHEART, she invites listeners into a world where her dreamlike visions meet a fresh, evocative experience that stands the test of time.
