About Exploring Japanese Whisky with Nathan Shearer
If you've never tried Japanese whisky before this is your chance to fix that and discover why they are highly regarded and are rightly seen as a worthy rival to Scotch whisky. Equally, if you're already a fan this is a marvellous opportunity to sample a particularly strong range of drams from Nikka and Chichibu.
Japanese whisky production has increased tenfold in the recent years and the story of its development and the differences in distilling and blending methods, as well as the different styles of whisky is fascinating to hear about. Nathan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the subject.
It was his love of Japanese whisky that drew Nathan out of the London cocktail bar scene and into the brand side where his passion for spirits (and dislike of breaking down bar stations) has seen him travel the length and breadth of the country for the past seven years, waxing lyrical about all things distilled.
