Tuesdays 15th, 22nd & 29th April
During your first class, you can bring in a shop-bought pattern to work from - this can be any garment you like!
Together, over the course of 3 weeks and with the help of your talented dressmaking tutor, you will learn step by step how to follow your pattern, successfully make the garment and leave with the skills to make many more and confidence to try other patterns too!
Dressmaking is a wonderful, relaxing and mindful craft but best of all, at the end of 3 weeks, you'll have a stunning garment of your choice handmade entirely by you!
Knowledge required
You should have some machine sewing abilities - know how to wind spool & thread up a machine and have sewn simple projects.
Please join a beginner's sewing class if you have no previous machine sewing skills or would like to brush up on skills before joining the beginner's dressmaking class.
What to bring:
Please bring in a shop-bought pattern to work from. Please be sure to check the sizes on dress pattern - sometimes they are U.S. sizing and also sometimes small made - you may need a bigger size than what you'd take in a shop.
Full details of what to bring at on The Edinburgh Sewcial Club website and will be emailed to you on your confirmation upon booking.
Session repeats
This class series runs over 3 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week 12.30pm to 5.30pm
