About Doctor Coppelius
Everyone knows the story of the doll Coppelia, and of Franz who believed her to be real, and of Swanhilda who loved Franz. But few speak of the doll's creator, Doctor Coppelius. Now, he grants you an audience, with his tale of the sinister Wandering People, a woman named Clara.
In a tale of dehumanisation and humanity, scaremongering and understanding, revenge and forgiveness, despair and hope, it is time for the tragic villain from the Delibes's ballet to give his side of the story.
All Edinburgh Horror Festival events at the Banshee Labyrinth are over 18 only and ID may be requested. Late admission is at the discretion of the act, and many do not allow late admission so please arrive ten minutes early.
