Edinburgh Dub Club Presents an Historic Meeting
# Two Sounds in the Arena #
MIGHTY OAK SOUND
meets
COMMON UNITY SOUND
(Newcastle)
After 3 outstanding sold out sessions at Summerhall, Edinburgh Dub Club returns to presents an historic meeting of two soundsystems. For the first time in Scotland, Newcastle's Common Unity Sound makes the journey north to join up with our own Mighty Oak crew for an evening of conscious dubwise, roots and reggae music presenting the spirit of Unity and Love. Top grade sound and vibes guaranteed!
Since starting up in 2014, Angus and Thomas of Common Unity have been working passionately to promote reggae music in the North East. The sound not only provides a platform for themselves to play, but also to expose the people of Newcastle to music and artists such as Kibir la Amlak, Ashanti Selah, with the latest sessions at the Newcastle Dub Club. Initial inspiration and schooling, from the late great Instrument of Jah Sound System plus regular rounds with sparring partner Ital Guidance over the years, Common Unity are ready and able to mash up any dancehall.
Mighty Oak need no introduction - Ben and Jojis return from their Borders hideout to nice up the dance once more with sweet and humble selection through the rumble and roar of their stunning soundsystem.
