Join us at National Galleries of Scotland: National and try on EEG headsets which capture your brain data while you look at the art and objects in the collection. You’ll see your brainwaves on a screen to show the impact of art on your brain.
By illustrating the impact of art on our brains and emotions, Art Fund hopes to encourage visiting museums and galleries with a National Art Pass, which allows people to enjoy free entry to hundreds of museums, galleries and historic houses across the UK as well as 50% off major exhibitions and discounts in museum shops and cafes.
The headsets are adjustable and suitable for adults. Children are welcome to join and try the headsets too.
Entry to National Galleries Scotland: National is free, and National Art Pass holders can get 50% off exhibition entry for ticketed shows.
The ‘Art on the Brain’ pop-up is a free drop-in event, included in your general admission ticket.
Morning only (10am - 1pm) on Thursday 25th July
All day (10am – 5pm) on Friday 26th July
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
