About Mark Hearld at Dovecot: In Conversation
Meet artist Mark Hearld while he undertakes the last few days of his residency at Dovecot Studios as he prepares to create a tapestry design for his exhibition at The Scottish Gallery in 2025.
Mark Hearld will be in discussion with Dovecot Director, Celia Joicey. Be the first to hear how the residency has fueled new ideas and what a future tapestry might look like, including an exclusive tour of Mark’s pop-up studio on the Weaving Floor following the in-conversation.
Trained at Glasgow School of Art and Royal College of Art London, Mark has extraordinarily wide-ranging interests, from folk art, to historic ceramic slipware, toy theatres and wonderful textiles.
