About The Importance of Framing and Why it Should Matter

This event discusses framing techniques that will enhance the visual impact of the small paintings for sale within the exhibition itself.

Framing in the art world is crucial as it enhances the presentation and preservation of the artwork, it can influence how the painting is perceived. The frame serves as a vital visual transition between the painting and its surrounding environment. Framing helps shape the viewers' experience and understanding of art - the right frame can bring out the paintings' strengths and complete a cohesive composition, the wrong frame can create a discombobulating experience.

With the Atelier team combining artistic experience with framing expertise, we will help highlight the impact framing can and will have, especially on a smaller scale piece. The Atelier Gallery’s in-house framing service, will be offering bespoke handmade frames available to purchase for each piece sold.
