About The Raeburn Brothers

xfire presents The Raeburn Brothers plus The Bad Moods + Auld Spells

In 2022, The Raeburn Bros got the band together. Having written and performed songs together with a drum machine in Edinburgh prior to the pandemic years of 2020-21, brothers Sandy and Murray Raeburn had a resolution for the year; to find the right people to realise a nostalgic sound that you don’t get to hear often in songwriting. With Connall Bonner on Bass; Mike Johnston playing drums and Glenn Hughes backing it up with keys, samples and percussion, what is very clear now is that The Raeburn Brothers is a five piece band.

Having spent the second half of 2022 opting to play shows always and often, they have to date supported artists such as Wesley Gonzalez, The Little Kicks, Brògeal and Saul Adamcewski of Insecure Men and Fat White Family across Scotland. Their debut single 'Star Prize' was released in February 2023, produced by Idlewild's Rod Jones at Post Electric Studios in Leith, before the band released follow up, ‘Golden Years’ in April.
