St Mary's Music School have partnered with leading UK brass players to bring an exciting series of Lower Brass Days to Edinburgh and Elgin. The two days will be dedicated to inspiring young minds to embrace the world of trombone, euphonium, tenor and baritone horns, and tuba.
The Edinburgh event is taking place on 24 February at the Parish Church of St Cuthbert on Lothian Road.
What to Expect:
You will have the opportunity to experience the quality of Buffet Crampon instruments with taster sessions.
There will be presentations, masterclasses, ensemble work and performances from leading brass players Martin Thomson, Danielle Price, John Kenny, Jonathan Gawn, Oren Marshall (Trinity Laban), Emily White (British Trombone Society), Arlene Macfarlane, and Mark Reynolds (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland)
Any one can attend and we and encourage participation from school aged pupils.
The event is free, but registration is required.
