Join us for a writing workshop inspired by cycling. Come with your bicycle, helmet and weather-appropriate gear for a two-part workshop, starting with a leisurely jaunt around the Meadows, interspersed with short poetry readings by cyclist-poet-hosts Julia Sorensen and Zaki El-Salahi, and finish with tea & coffee and ride-inspired poetry writing in Summerhall.
It might feel like cycling, whether commute, exercise, race or recreation, is distinct from other parts of your life. Julia and Zaki are convinced that cycling can touch almost everything if you let it. What parts of cycling give you joy and what frustrates you? How is cycling a vein which connects many different aspects of life? How does cycling bring you into your body and into the present?
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
