Few artists are as musically diverse as Glasgow based singer-songwriter Ant Thomaz. His infectious blending folk rock & mellow blend of soul pop, ska rhythms complete with razor sharp lyrics - gives them a sound unlike any other. Ant’s brazen sounds and gregarious diversity has seen them evolve into an extraordinary fusion inspired by Scottish, Irish & Coushatta Indian roots.. Stories - past and present - mold and shift their sound to create something completely unique. Starting off as a busker on the streets of Glasgow to playing main stages SWG3, Usher hall, Stramash, O2 Academy Glasgow, OVO Hydro, & Edinburgh & festivals such as Eden Festival, Belladrum, Butefest, Kelburn & Knockengorroch to name a few, Thomaz has built a buzz on the Scottish music scene. Winners of the Celtic Connections open stage, Thomaz rubbed shoulders with some legendary names supporting with the likes of Shaun Ryder’s Black Grape, James Walsh Starsailors, Sister Sledge, Sheku Kanneh Mason, Kool in the gang, Roy Ayers, Ozomatli, Bemz, Big Country, Akua and The Sugar Hill Gang, The Wailers. “
