About Easy Sundays: The Time Traveller’s Herbal
The herbalist has had many names throughout the ages - Cunning Woman, Wise Woman, even Witch - all hiding the truth of what they are... early pioneers of science, and fountains of traditional, nature-based knowledge.
All around us are plants and herbs that can be used to improve our wellbeing and encourage a more nature-focused approach to health. Steeped in history, the herbalist's art paved the way for modern science.
Take a trip through time with storyteller Amanda Edmiston and discover traditional recipes and remedies from her new book The Time Traveller’s Herbal. With interactive herbal elements and opportunities to taste, make and take away treasures and signed copies of the book available to purchase on the day.

This event is part of Easy Sundays, a monthly session of stories, music, community and friendship, where warm welcome awaits with a variety of activities for all the family to enjoy. So come find a space to relax amongst friends, old and new, or take part in our rolling programme of events throughout the day, whatever the mood takes you.
