Come to the French Institute in Edinburgh for the Scotland’s first "Alumni day UK" at the Institut français d’Ecosse on 16 May ! The "Alumni Day" is a new initiative launched by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs with the aim of honoring international students who have undertaken a study placement in France.
For the first edition of this event, we have decided to highlight the values of "equality, diversity and inclusion" and their links with international mobility. Students and alumni will have the opportunity to interact with four distinguished speakers through a round table:
Pr Debora Kayembe, Rector of the University of Edinburgh, Scottish human rights lawyer and political activist.
Archippus Sturrock, ULIP (University of London in Paris) Alumni, parliamentary advisor to the Parliament of Scotland, local leader 2022 and patron of the France Alumni UK network.
Pr Hager Jemel, Director of « Diversity and Inclusion Chair » EDHEC
Dr Olivier Salazar-Ferrer, Senior Lecturer in French, Head of the French Department, University of Glasgow
Following the round table, participants will enjoy a cocktail at the Institut français d’Ecosse, in the presence of the Consule générale, Mrs Laurence Pais.
Tuesday 16 May from 6pm to 8pm
