Edinburgh Science Festival: Ready, Steady, Grow: The Lifecycle of a Human Body

About Edinburgh Science Festival: Ready, Steady, Grow: The Lifecycle of a Human Body

Age 8+

Join scientists from the MRC Centre for Reproductive Health to learn about the challenges of creating a new life from successful fertilisation of an egg, to the growth and development of an embryo, and the creation of a healthy human. Examine real mouse embryos to find out how they develop. Use microscopes to discover how cells grow and change to become a healthy body. Finally, uncover what the different cells in your body do and what happens when cell growth goes wrong.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
