About Book Launch Party: Things I Have Loved by Sophia Hembeck

We’re so excited be hosting an event with writer and visual artist Sophia Hembeck to celebrate the launch of her second book of essays Things I Have Loved.

About the book:

Things I Have Loved is the second book of the poetic memoir trilogy by Sophia Hembeck.

Told through objects Hembeck has loved, she is weaving a narrative that examines the themes of love, longing and self-worth.

By diving deep into memories of her own life, pop-culture and (lost) objects she is getting to the core of how we love and why.

If Things I Have Noticed was about growing up and finding yourself Things I Have Loved is about the things that were lost/missed/gained along the way.

Sophia Hembeck is a writer and visual artist based in Edinburgh. Her first book of essays, Things I Have Noticed, was published in 2020. She writes a weekly newsletter called The Muse Letter.
