Our forthcoming auction features a selection of important autograph letters by figures including Charles Babbage, Oliver Cromwell and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, a partially complete copy of Shakespeare’s Fourth Folio, a first edition of The Hobbit, a single-owner collection of books on gunnery and field sports, an extensive collection of original prints from John Gould’s Birds of Great Britain, and a book from the library of Adam Smith.
